I am an experienced transcriber of Latin manuscripts written in Gothic book scripts, which in practice means most manuscripts produced between 1100 and 1500. If your manuscript is earlier or later (or just unusual) then you’re probably better off asking someone else – though you’d be welcome to try me!
Transcription is standardly £0.20/word (minimum charge £15). Repetitive, formulaic, or otherwise strangely easy texts may attract a discretionary discount, and barely legible scrawls a surcharge. Any explanatory footnotes – I tend to provide these, though I don’t promise them – will be free of charge.
If you find that I’ve made any outright mistakes in my transcription – and I agree! – I’ll refund you 10% for each different one, up to a maximum of £100. (You won’t find a guarantee this strong elsewhere.)
